STUFF

Don't we have a bunch of STUFF?  I mean, stuff that sits in our drawers that we haven't warn in years.  Stuff in the "junk drawer" that has been taking up space for years.  Stuff in the storage space that we have forgotten was even there until we had to store something else away,  and again see all the STUFF that we have.  The mini-storage industry has been in a boom over the past 15 years in America, because we just can't get rid of enough stuff fast enough to keep up with all the new stuff we keep aquiring.
I wonder what life would be like if each and everyday we woke up and saw the world through the eyes of Jesus.  If we saw all things and all people and all circumstances.  If we were able to see the family of 5 in India who wake up everyday from sleeping on dirt floors, wondering how they would scrounge enough money to feed themselves.  If we were able to see the orphan child in Africa with HIV who lost his parents to aids wandering the streets looking for someone, anyone to give him a morsel of food to eat.  If we were able to see the mother who helplessly watches her child die in her arms from starvation.
I wonder then, would we have all this stuff?  Would it matter?
Maybe it's time to get rid of some stuff and donate the money to save a child of God from starvation, HIV Aids.  Maybe sponsor a child so that they can have clean clothes, food to eat, a school to attend, and be able to come to know Jesus through it all.
